This model can be used by any multi-agency group working with a child and their family at any time during the multi-agency plan. It is expected that all core groups will hold a Case Learning Meeting of the core group professional network between the first and second Review Child Protection Conference – (between 3 and 9 months). Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
LSCB Annual Conference will take place on 1st July 2013 and will see the launch of revised multi-agency procedures to support the workforce to recognise the needs of children and young people living with domestic abuse and also to devise safety plans. The LSCB has adopted the Barnardo’s Domestic Violence Risk Indicator Matrix (DVRIM) and this tool is integral to these revised procedures. This tool has been evidenced to be an effective tool to identify the needs of children and young people living with domestic abuse and can be used above and below the threshold of Children’s Social Work services intervention. The LSCB has commissioned a number of training courses which are available free of charge to the VCS:-
- 1 day course aimed at those who lead or contribute to multi-agency assessments of children and young people living with domestic abuse including at the early help level of need
- 1 day course aimed at managers of those who lead or contribute to multi-agency assessments.
