From 5 April rates go up from £138.18 to £139.58, and the earnings threshold goes up from £111 to £112.

Complicated new rules on shared parental leave are now in effect in relation to babies due on or after 5 April and children placed for adoption on or after that date.
From 5 April unpaid parental leave is available for parents of all children up to 18 years of age. (At present, it is available up to 18 only for disabled children, and up to the child’s 5th birthday or 5th anniversary of adoption for other children.) It looks like where a child is 5 or over, and a parent has not used all of their parental leave entitlement, the untaken leave will be available until the child’s 18th birthday – but I haven’t seen anything that confirms this.
Statutory sick pay goes up on 6 April [not 5 April] from £87.55 to £88.45, and the earnings threshold from £111 to £112.
