Report from ICASS board – 30 June 2015

Meeting Name: INTEGRATED CARE AND SUPPORT (ICASS) PROGRAMME BOARD

Date of Meeting: 30TH June 2015

Key Points of Wider Interest Discussed:

The MOU with Caradigm was agreed and signed.  The data sharing and information sharing governance protocols are still under discussion.  A press release was to be issued today (30th June) however at the time of writing, (7th July) the author of this report has not had sight of it.

A video promoting SOLIHULL TOGETHER for better lives was shown featuring Hall Green Walking Football Team. A discussion was held around promoting this is Solihull. The branding was shown to the board.  The logo looks strikingly similar to that of the VCSRG.

The dementia strategy was discussed and a presentation was made re the dementia pack available in hard copy and online.

The Centre of Excellence was discussed and it was noted that the wheelchair and equipment service will shortly be moving there from their current base in Starling Way.

A short discussion was held around the Community Advice Hubs and the hub launch in July.

Chair of Healthwatch Solihull presented a paper at the meeting.  The purpose of this report was “to brief the ICASS Programme Board” on the ongoing work to establish a Stakeholder Forum to support the delivery of some of the elements co-production and to seek approval for the appointment of a joint stakeholder lead.”

Potential Follow Up Action/Discussion/Feedback Required:

Was there any consultation regarding the logo for SOLIHULL TOGETHER better lives, is it of significance that it is similar to that of the VCSRG?

It was noted that the dementia pack is now out of date (references Enable and lists Age UK at The Priory, no reference to Community Advice Hubs specialist advisors).  Ian James and Comms to follow up and also to see where this aligns with the Portal and The Community Advice Hubs

Invites will be sent shortly to the Hub launch.

A visit to the Centre of Excellence will be arranged for those who wish to visit.

Healthwatch Solihull to provide a copy of the mapping exercise in order to support the option/solution as described in the report.
