Voluntary & Community Sector Infrastructure Service

Solihull Council is seeking views from Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) groups about their need for infrastructure support.  You can take part by attending a consultation meeting, or completing an on-line survey – or both.

Solihull Council funds infrastructure support for VCS groups to help them be efficient and effective in supporting local people.  This is known as infrastructure support.  It includes:

  • advice about funding and strategic planning
  • supporting volunteers
  • information and networking opportunities
  • coordinating representation of VCS groups to the Council and other Statutory bodies

The current service has been provided by Solihull SUSTAiN since 2008.

The Council is committed to supporting VCS Groups and wants to be sure that the funding provided for infrastructure support represents value for money and meets the needs of individual groups.

The Council intends to listen carefully to groups and then re-design the service to ensure it is fit for the future.  The Council will then tender this service to find the right provider.
