Solihull Action through Advocacy (SAtA) is an independent advocacy charity with around 20 staff, a team of volunteers and an exciting future. As advocates SAtA is passionate about the rights of some of the most vulnerable in society and specialise in working with people with a learning difficulty. We also currently hold the Local Authority contract to provide Care Act advocacy for older people.
Our CEO is leaving in September after seven successful years in the role and we are busy recruiting her replacement. We have a new strategy that plans an expansion in our geographical reach while building on our specialist expertise.
We want to strengthen the Board of Trustees to help us lead the strategy.
Specifically we are looking for people with the following expertise:
- Human Resources
- Strategic Management
The Trustees commit to attend Trustee meetings six times per year, currently held on a Tuesday evening at the charity’s offices in Marston Green as well as an occasional away day. All Trustees will complete an induction programme.
If you are interested in the above voluntary role please contact Debbie Powell at firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange an informal conversation in the first instance.
