The Andy Fanshawe Memorial Trust (AFMT ) supports projects that allow disadvantaged young people the chance to develop an existing interest in the great outdoors.
The Trust usually supports programmes that are run by schools or youth groups, but welcomes applications from individuals, but these must have a referee.
The AFMT support a wide range of projects, but are unlikely to support foreign trips. Projects the fund has supported in the past include:
- a £300 grant of a Youth Forum in Lancashire to support a programme of outdoor activities;
- £500 grant for a group of young people from Bradford to go on a residential outdoor activities course in Scotland.
