Solihull celebrates National Volunteers Week 2017

On Friday 9th June, Solihull’s Volunteer Managers’ Forum welcomed volunteers to a celebratory cream tea in recognition of all the valuable work they undertake across the borough.

Beautiful scones were made by volunteers from Seeds and Hope for the event, held at Junction in Fordbridge with the rest of the menu being funded thanks to a generous donation by St Alphege Rotary Club.

The Mayor of Solihull, Cllr Stuart Davis, attended and as well as chatting to the volunteers about their activities he handed out certificates to thank them for their hard work. Attendees included those who support ReCOM, Citizens Advice Solihull Borough and Solihull Christian Fellowship among many others.

The Mayor said, “The volunteers do so much good work and it’s so good to see them have recognition for their efforts”
