The British Ecological Society is inviting Individual members and organisations such as schools, museums, libraries and community groups to apply to for a grant of up to £2,000 for projects that promote ecological science to a wide audience.
Grants can be used as part funding where other partners are involved in the project. Strong applications will need to show that the work will:
- increase public understanding of and engagement with ecology; stimulate discussion about ecology and its implications for society;
- inspire and enthuse people of all ages about the science of ecology, especially those not previously interested; and
- develop skills in communicating the science of ecology.
Applications from schools are welcome but projects must involve significant outreach beyond schools.
Apply by 11th September 2017 for projects starting after 14th November 2017.
