We don’t often blow our own trumpet. After all there is barely time for putting the bugle to the lips when there is constant demand from people needing help and support. And, anyway, it doesn’t feel right to pull the spotlight away from them.
However, Wednesday night’s celebration of the Colebridge Trust’s 15th Birthday providing the opportunity to shout about our achievement and share the celebratory mood with a host of folks who have been a part of our success over the years.
It was also an opportunity to announce that the years of confusion about whether we are Colebridge Trust or SUSTAiN are over. The SUSTAiN brand is being relegated and one of our Board Members, Warren Albutt, owner of successful local agency of Start 2 Finish Marketing, has helped with the development of a brand new look and logo set.
The Mayor of Solihull, Councillor Stuart Davis, cut the celebration cake before light refreshments were enjoyed by a host of guests from the voluntary and community, business and public sectors. The celebratory atmosphere was enhanced by the singing of the Wellbeing Community Choir, a grateful recipient of support and advice from our team.
But the occasion was also an opportunity to highlight some of the great work that we do and to publish a new brochure providing a snapshot of the broad contribution the Trust makes to our communities across the borough.
The booklet was the first introduction of our new logo set, an overarching brand, one for each of the three arms of the charity and one to sustain the Sustain name during a period of transition:
There seem to be challenging times ahead for the community sector in Solihull, but the Trust is in good heart, standing by a solid track record of achievement after 15 years and geared up to continue building social capital for Solihull’s communities for many more to come.
