Austin and Hope Pilkington Trust – funding for arts and music and to help elderly people

The Austin and Hope Pilkington Trust offers grants of £1,000 to registered charities. In 2018, their focus in on projects that are medical based (but not research).

Priority will begiven to projects focusing on:

  • The elderly that focus on homelessness
  • Domestic abuse, prisoners/offenders
  • Training/education
  • Counselling/support
  • Refugees and asylum seekers
  • Activities for those with limited access or opportunities.

To be eligible to apply, the charity must have a minimum operating income of 100,000 per year and a maximum income of £1,000,000 per year.

The next funding round will open for applications between 1st and 28th February 2018.

There are four funding rounds in the year and each one has a different theme. Check their website for details.


The Austin Hope and Pilkington Trust will fund projects relating to Music and the Arts and Elderly People during 2017.

During this funding round, organisations with income between £50,000 and £1m will be able to apply for grants of £1,000; organisations with income over £500,000 can apply for grants of £5,000.

The Trust will run four funding rounds each year with a different theme and for each funding round will give priority to projects that focus on homelessness, domestic abuse, prisoners/offenders, training/education, counselling/support and activities for those with limited access or opportunities.

Applications will be accepted between 1st and 30th September 2017.
