Funding to support the integration of young refugees in their host communities

The European Youth Forum (YFJ), which represents 104 youth organisations in Europe and works to empower young people to participate actively in society has launched the European Youth Initiative Fund.

The aim of the fund is to make financial support available so that youth organisations can continue their important work in the field of refugee inclusion. Grants of up to €10,000 are available for projects that:

  • Help displaced youth have a voice and engage in participatory dialogue with other youth, youth organisations and host communities
  • Help displaced youth strengthen their capacity and skills development
  • That better integrate displaced youth within their host communities.

To be eligible, projects must take place within one of the Council of Europe member states (this includes the UK) and must be submitted on behalf of a youth organisation legally registered in Europe. The grant is not limited to the membership of the European Youth Forum.

The closing date for applications is the 4th March 2018.
