Holiday grants for disabled or disadvantaged children – Henry Smith

Under the Henry Smith’s Charity Holiday Grants for Children Programme, schools, youth groups and not for profit organisations can apply for grants towards holidays or outings within the UK for children aged 13 and under who are from deprived areas or have a disability.

Applications can be made for grants towards a single trip, which could be a day trip or a longer residential of up to seven days in length. This could be to a countryside or city location but must be outside of the children’s immediate locality.

Grants of between £500 and £2,500 are available; to cover a maximum of two thirds of the cost of a holiday or trip, the remainder of the funding must be raised elsewhere.

In this round, trips must take place between 1st May and 30th June.

Applications are accepted between 1st March and 30th April – however, decisions are made on a first come-first served basis until all the funds have been allocated.

For more details and to apply, complete the eligibility quiz on the website and submit the application form online at least 6 weeks before the trip is due to take place.
