Course Aims:

To develop awareness of, and the ability to act on, concerns about the safety and welfare of children and young people and to  provide an overview

of the key policies and best practices around child safeguarding and help them to see how they can be used or are used within  their own organisation.

The course is free for voluntary and community sector groups and provides the Solihull Local Children Safeguarding Board Level 1 Certificate.  Solihull Local Safeguarding Board advise that voluntary organisations attend a level 1 course every three years.

www.learnsomethingnew.org.uk is a new online resource from Colebridge Trust and SUSTAiN that is designed to be a one stop shop for anyone looking to enhance their current skills or to simply ‘learn something new’.

The new site goes live on Monday 18th April

It will also provide a forum for Training providers to share best practice, keep up to date with latest policy and funding opportunities and find resources.

Initially funded by the Skills Funding Agency, Learn Something New provides free advertising to Voluntary & Community organisations. Public & Private sector training providers can also advertise their services on the website for a very competitive fee.
