Work Placements

Tackling youth unemployment is an issue that requires a joined up response. Young adults need to put in the work to overcome their barriers to employment, specialist agencies need to provide the right support and resources at the right time, and employers need to give young adults a chance to develop their talent.

We understand the concerns of employers and throughout the Talent Match business planning structures have been developed to minimise risk, red-tape and costs of employing a young adult through the programme.

Volunteer Placements

We believe in volunteering and the positive impact it has on the individual and communities. Talent Match participants are encouraged to take on a volunteering placement with a voluntary sector organisation in an area of their interest to broaden their skills and benefit their community.

We recognise there are costs to supporting volunteers and are able to cover volunteer expenses and provide a small subsidy  to the organisation (subject to criteria). Talent Match participants will continue to access specialist support and engage with the Coach/Mentor throughout their volunteer placement.
