Business Supporting Solihull Together

Businesses Supporting Solihull Together

From June to October it was the business community’s turn to show its support for Solihull’s charities and voluntary organisations. The challenge was to organise something fun that would raise some money for a ‘recession resilience fund‘ – an emergency resource for voluntary groups finding it difficult to cope financially with the effects of the current economic climate.

To get the ball rolling, SUSTAiN walked three-legged around Solihull, raising the first funds and having a good old giggle in the process. Watch the video to see how we got on!

Ramada Solihull

The first company to take up the challenge was Ramada Solihull. The hotel adopted Solihull Together as its annual charity and organised weekly fundraising quiz nights.

“it is important for us to help locally. Our staff are local, we are based right in the centre of Solihull, and we like to be part of the community and to give something back.”

Ramada also very kindly sponsored the Solihull Together walk and supplied a water station on the day.

Synergy4Business

Local business network Synergy4Business organised another successful challenge – a charity bowling night. Hosted by Acocks Green Bowl, 85 people joined in the fun and raised a total of £822 for Solihull Together on the night.
